Red Hat recognizes Latin America’s Honorable Mentions in the 2024 Red Hat Innovation Awards

Red Hat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, recognized two Latin American customers with honorable mentions within the Red Hat Innovation Awards given every year at its annual edition. Red Hat Innovation Awards highlight our customers’ achievements that showcase creative thinking, problem-solving, and the innovative use of Red Hat solutions. These range from innovative thinking to address business or public sector challenges to the impact on organizational culture and transformational processes.

This year’s honorable mentions recognized for creating best practices within their industries include the following: JUFEJUS (Argentina and Banco Santander (Argentina).

JUFEJUS

JUFEJUS, an Argentine government agency that coordinates the relationships between the provincial judiciaries and the Argentine Ministry of Justice, used Red Hat OpenShift to ensure the continuity and integrity of judicial processes by optimizing communications among the provincial judiciaries, the federal government, and other government and private entities.

Based on a microservice and cloud-native architecture approach, JUFEJUS created the Federal Justice interoperability BUS which enabled access to and on-the-spot exchange of electronic legal documents, rendering distances irrelevant. Additionally, it achieved a potential reduction of waiting times by 25%-30% due to on-the-spot access to information.

With Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS, JUFEJUS transformed Justice CLOUD into a hybrid cloud with a standardized, secure, scalable, robust, and sustainable-over-time cloud-native infrastructure to effectively manage increasing transaction loads.

Banco Santander

Banco Santander Argentina, with over four million customers and a workforce of 6500, is the leading private bank in terms of loan and deposit volumes. Santander Argentina realized that to attract new customers and businesses, it had to stay one step ahead in digital channels and the development of products with reduced time-to-market.

By adopting Red Hat OpenShift with multiple clusters on-premise and on AWS cloud, Santander adopted a cloud-native, DevOps-driven architecture standard to develop, deploy, and scale applications swiftly and reliably. The bank migrated its data platforms to the cloud and improved data management and customer experience in its digital channels, quickly positioning itself as a leader in digital banking.

Thanks to Red Hat Training, it managed to develop in-house talent and adopt an Agile approach, fostering a cultural transformation into more digital-first, agile, flexible, and simple working methods.
